THE NEXT DAYLONG INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS WILL TAKE PLACE ON Saturday, March 21st, 2020.
This daylong retreat which takes place in Esker Retreat Centre, Athenry introduces the basic practice of Mindfulness. The day is for beginners interested in learning about mindfulness and for meditators who want to rekindle their enthusiasm for sitting regularly. Learn simple meditation and mindful practices that you can incorporate into your everyday life to keep your life on-course.
There will be guidance on mindfulness of the breath, body, emotions, thoughts, walking and eating. There will be time for sitting meditation, walking meditation and discussion. The daylong is suitable for both beginners and those wanting to review the basics of practice.
Some of the day will be spent outdoors. There will be periods of silent practice throughout the day and this will include the lunch period. There will be time for discussion and personal reflection, and support around setting up a regular home practice.
DAYLONG INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS
This daylong introduction to mindfulness will provide you with:
– a good understanding of what mindfulness is and how it can be cultivated;
– insight into neuroplasticity, how mindfulness can help change the brain;
– an understanding of how you can break the stress-reaction cycle and start responding to the stress in your life, rather than reacting to it.
– simple practices to help you integrate mindfulness into your everyday life.
The day is suitable for beginners – it is not necessary to have any prior knowledge of mindfulness.

Days of Mindfulness:
The fee for the day is 75 euro and the price includes a vegetarian lunch and a Mindfulness CD.
